Home security is important to you because you want to keep your family and your home free from harm. One of the most important elements of home security is preventing burglars from gaining access to your property. Having a security and surveillance camera and alarm accessories is a good idea but it is only the start. You also must know the dos as they relate to protecting your castle.
Bathroom shower doors have many pros to them. The fact that they come in a variety of designs make them one of the most popular ways to enclose a shower. They can be framed or frameless, sliding or bifold and are easier to clean than shower curtains. Most cheap ready-made curtains must be replaced periodically due to mold and mildew as well as fading where shower doors are easily cleaned with a cleanser and a sponge. They cost more to install but because they are durable they will last a lifetime with very little maintenance.
Yet many, if not most, female Baby Boomers learned dressmaking from their mothers. In the sixties and seventies dress material and patterns were relatively cheap. You could quickly make a frock or skirt within hours and you could own a completely unique piece of clothing for a fraction of the cost of buying one in a dress shop.
If you are still using old shower curtains, now may be the time to switch to custom shower doors instead. These glass doors have significant advantages over using a shower curtain. First of all, they are easy to clean. All you have to do is clean the doors with glass cleaner every so often and they will look as good as new in an instant. There are also many doors that are treated so that the water will just slide off and not stain it. These doors may be more expensive, but if you think about how much time you will save it may be worth it in the long run. If you fail to keep a shower curtain dry it tends to stain the tende per studi medici curtain with dark streaks that are hard to remove. With custom curtains doors for the shower this is not an issue.
Crime prevention starts in the home, so set up family meetings and address the importance of good home security. The basis is working with what you have. I'm not suggesting you purchase hundreds of panoramic glass curtains dollars worth of home security products right away. But if you have locks on your doors and windows, use them! A lock is a terrible thing to waste, especially when it's the only thing preventing you from becoming another crime statistic.
I'm always amazed how many people leave their window coverings open at night. Take the opportunity away from opportunists by closing your blinds at dusk. Giving burglars a street view of your personal inventory doesn't make sense.
Finally, add some spirit of the season. Perhaps you know a neighbor who has squash overflowing their kitchen? Offer to take some off their hands and display it piled on the porch, or stacked in a wheelbarrow. (Tuck a small pot of mums into the stack for a special fall touch!) Pick up some candles from the dollar shop or discount store and use them nightly for your family and yourself. Pick up seed pods, pinecones, and acorns on your family nature walks and start a nature jar to display and keep as a memento of your year. Line a serving bowl with a cloth napkin or fabric remnant, and fill with apples and pears form the grocery. Set out small dished with cinnamon sticks and cloves to sweeten the air with the fall feeling.
